On our last day at Disney, we had to check out by 11 and didn't have to get on the bus to the airport until 3. Needless to say, we had time to kill.
We were out of the room before eleven. We checked our bags into the hotel then started our sightseeing.
*Disney has a really efficient check out process. They put your info under your door the night before and they have a service where you can check your bags into your airline at the hotel. That way you only have to worry about your carry-ons. If you are like us and have some time to do stuff but don't want to take your carry-ons with you, the hotel can hold them until you are ready to leave.
Since it was Christmas, we decided to go around and see a few of the Christmas trees at the different resorts. So we checked our bags then headed their way.
I have always wanted to stay at the Wilderness Lodge. It is a rustic, cabin/lodge themed resort. Absolutely beautiful and up my alley.
We took a bus to the Magic Kingdom then got on a boat to the Wilderness Lodge. It was a nice little relaxing trip.
We then went on to the Floridian. It is a Victorian style resort that is quite expensive. It has a classical band in the lobby and at Christmas, they have a life size gingerbread house in the lobby also.
We would have loved to have gone to some of the other resorts too but time just didn't allow it. I suggest that if you do have some extra time on your vacation, check out the other resorts. Some of them have events that are open to anyone that is staying in any of the resorts. There also is a fantastic restaurants located at almost every one.
Well, that concludes our Christmas Disney Vacation. I would go on about how our flight was delayed, we had to literally run to our connecting flight, and we didn't get home till midnight on Christmas Eve, but I will spare you the details.
See you tomorrow.
